April showers bring forth May flowers

This proverb from Tudor times is very apposite so far this year and if Old Ned has done his work right then we should be in for a treat. Good day to you, I am Aunt Martha and here at the Tea-rooms cook and Old Ned have been busy putting into action the plans I made before Christmas for new attractions to interest you, my guests.

The three new gardens, the Backyard, the Retirement Garden and the Secret Garden can be inspected along with Old Ned’s ‘living’ room.

The menu has been improved to give a wider selection for you to choose from including the ‘Sack Lunch’ and Brigadier’s savoury tea. There are some new cakes on the menu to tantalize your taste buds, stimulate your senses and pleasure your pupils. For those who have any problems with gluten or dairy please do not worry as provided I am told beforehand delightful alternatives can be provided.

But who is in the ‘Pudding Lovers Club’? Follow the link to find out more.

2012 sees the gardens being open on Bank Holiday Mondays as part of the National Gardens Scheme when funds will be raised in support of many worthy cancer charities like Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie Cancer Care.  Please note that on these days we will be running a limited menu

I anticipate this year being especially busy and making a reservation will ensure that you are not disappointed.

As always the tea-rooms are available for larger groups and to find out more and check availability please feel free to make contact by telephone on 01594 824514 or using the wonders of technology by e-mail auntmartha@hotmail.co.uk
